EDS Nite DVD Preview
I have finished watching the sample copy of the DVD and I think the picture quality is pretty good (despite the limited light) and so is the sound (which was sourced directly from our three gun mikes). Some speeches tend to become a bit soft when actors talk away from the mikes most noticably in the offstage moments in "Reel Times" and half of Wynne's Mrs Dunning speech in the opening scene of "Ice Cream Truck". When she paces before Mrs Fletcher (Judy), she turns her back on the mike you see, so she goes from faint to super clear throughout (haha). The DVD is definitely much better than the amateur effort last year with school cams. There is also a variety of shots as the DVD was edited using two cameras. I am going to ask the company whether or not they can tweak the sound a bit as the plays are much quiter than the dances which work with recorded music. If you turn up the volume for the plays, you get blasted by the music when the dances begin. What do you think of the packaging that utilises our programme booklet design? Post your comments!

EDS Nite DVD Update
The first cut of the EDS Nite 2006 DVD is now ready for inspection. Will let you how it looks as soon as I get the sample copy. By the way, we do have a crude VCD copy of EDS Nite 2005 for those who are interested (which was taken on the not overly fantastic school video cams).

EDS Blog Team
I have just sent word to the current EDS Com members that they can post on this new blog. If you are EDS Alumni and you would like to make meaningful contributions, please email me so I can add you to the team list.
But please people when you post, remember that we are the ENGLISH Drama Society so refrain from using erroneous strains of metalanguage and sentence fragments on this blog alright? So, no "Frenz 4-eva! LOL! LOL! It RoXXs!!" here thank you.

EDS Nite 2006 Photo Gallery
A selection of EDS Nite photos taken by student photographer, Cheng Munyi. I would upload more but ... I can't be bothered. I mean it takes forever to put up even ONE photograph! You could practically finish a Russian novel or two while waiting (and make yourself thoroughly depressed in the process) ...
Buy the EDS Nite DVD!
We are still taking orders for the EDS Nite 2006 DVD, so if you are interested in reliving the fun and excitement of the 13th May encore concert please give your details and money to Ms Kheng in Staff Room 1. If you are not from DHS you can email me directly about orders. The DVDs are affordably priced at $10 each. The first cut of the DVD should be ready for inspection this month.
