EDS Nite DVD Preview

I have finished watching the sample copy of the DVD and I think the picture quality is pretty good (despite the limited light) and so is the sound (which was sourced directly from our three gun mikes). Some speeches tend to become a bit soft when actors talk away from the mikes most noticably in the offstage moments in "Reel Times" and half of Wynne's Mrs Dunning speech in the opening scene of "Ice Cream Truck". When she paces before Mrs Fletcher (Judy), she turns her back on the mike you see, so she goes from faint to super clear throughout (haha). The DVD is definitely much better than the amateur effort last year with school cams. There is also a variety of shots as the DVD was edited using two cameras. I am going to ask the company whether or not they can tweak the sound a bit as the plays are much quiter than the dances which work with recorded music. If you turn up the volume for the plays, you get blasted by the music when the dances begin. What do you think of the packaging that utilises our programme booklet design? Post your comments!
